Kiwi Dog

Over the past weekend, with Edmonton hitting unseasonably high temperatures, I decided to take my camera out on a short dog walk with the wife.
Seeing how we were walking with our canine companion I tried to get some shots of the dog, and being an Australian Shepherd (a very high energy breed), sitting still for photos proved to be quite difficult for her. Even though she was no doubt bouncing around on the inside she was able to hold it together and throw down a couple solid poses:
The winter sun was being extremely unpredictable, but on the way home through the soccer field, the sun was coming at just the right angle through the clouds. I was able to fall back and snap this shot of Sarah and Kiwi treading through the snow, I just love the way the shadow fits here.
