Bamboo Sticky Rice

Tonight my wife and I decided to tackle making bamboo sticky rice for dinner. After reading the directions in the cookbook we soon realized it would be 11pm before we could actually eat the sticky rice, but we felt it was still worth it.
I decided to catalog the process on my blog, so enjoy!
Bamboo leaves soaking, waiting in preparation of their inevitable doom.

Stir frying the cilantro in addition to the ginger and garlic.

The preparation of the leaves before they get wrapped up into little delicious presents.

The aforementioned delicious little presents.

And finally the “inevitable doom” as referred to earlier.
