My girlfriend and I got a fish tank and I figured it would be a cool opportunity to take some photos. I struggled a little bit with the reflections, but with a little practice hopefully I can share some sweet photos of our new fish! Here’s what I have so far, the blue one seems to be the most willing to model :P

I’m back!
It’s been a while but I look forward to getting back into taking photos, and subsequently blogging about them :)
While on vacation in Manitoba this past month I had an opportunity to try out my new Sony NEX-3 on some beautiful sunsets during our stay at my girlfriend’s uncle’s lakeside cabin. I haven’t had time to process all my photos from the trip but I found a few that I really liked and decided to post them.
This first one is actually our view from the deck, overlooking the lake as the sun is just going down. We had a chance to see sunsets like this almost every night of the trip, we almost always had beatiful weather in the evenings.

The next two I really like. I wasn’t sure how they would show up because of such heavy backlighting but I really like the silhouette look that came out of it.

This one was a lucky suprise shot, just worked out really well! I think this would make a great print, just a gorgeous pose.

That’s it for now but I will upload more as I go through them.. Get ready for a ton of fishing pictures!

Snapped a few shots of the plants near and around my house during my last photo walk.

One of my favourite photos from my Scotland trip. I still love going back through and re-living all these photos, and seeing things I missed earlier.

I love the position of the tree in this one and the desaturated color gives it a really eery feel.
